I stayed at a postpartum care center in Los Angeles for 26 days, spending over $40,000. After my stay, I wanted to share my experience and feelings about the center to give other sisters who are considering postpartum care centers some reference!

How to choose a room type? Even in a postpartum care center, relatives will inevitably come to visit the baby. A single room is indeed a bit small, and it's really inconvenient if it coincides with breastfeeding time. I suggest that sisters choose a one-bedroom apartment within their budget. Choose a room with good natural light; getting some sunshine really improves your mood! Is the food selection important? The meals during the postpartum period are mainly light and bland, so it's rare to find delicious food! The postpartum care center I stayed at provided six meals a day. The owner has their own farm in Irvine, and the meals are carefully prepared, both beautiful and delicious! I looked forward to mealtime every day, haha!  What about the common areas? Sometimes it can get a little boring at the postpartum care center, so the common areas are also very important!

You can exchange parenting experiences with other mothers daily, and occasionally attend flower arrangement classes, yoga classes, and baby care classes. Is postpartum recovery important?  Besides everything else, hair washing and breast massage are truly necessary. Every time I lay on the chair, the caregiver washed my hair with boiled herbal medicine, and I felt so much more relaxed.  Most postpartum centers include these services. During my confinement, I had a fever due to mastitis and needed five breast massages! Also, after a C-section, you need a heat lamp for wound healing, and I needed it after my episiotomy! The cost generally varies depending on the room type and the included postpartum recovery services. One-on-one care? I chose a one-bedroom apartment with one-on-one care. A woman only gives birth once, and the nanny in the room also provides on-site instruction on how to care for the baby. After leaving the postpartum center, new parents will know how to take care of their child!

Postpartum confinement is incredibly important for women, and you should believe that you get what you pay for! After looking at several postpartum centers, I chose the Marriott Postpartum Center after comparing them. They use top-tier, branded mother and baby care products, even including pajamas, and you can even choose the color of your sheets.  Importantly, the caregivers are all trained in Los Angeles. I completely let myself go during my entire confinement period, haha… This can be a reference for sisters in Irvine who are choosing a postpartum center!
